Many USD currency Hold’em and Omaha games with No-Limit or Pot-Limit betting will be offered with new and different minimum, maximum, and default buy-in amounts. Most stakes of NL Hold’em and PL Omaha will be offered as follows:All tables will be labeled with the buy ins rather than as shallow, deep, or whatever. I think that's fair.
20-50 bb, with default buy-in of 40bb
40-100 bb, with default buy-in of 80bb
100-250 bb, with default buy-in of 200bb and ante equal to 20% of the Big Blind
Also:
The amount of time a player must wait before returning to the same table with less money has been increased from 30 minutes to 60 minutes for all cash games of all types. This is an extra little nugget of awesomeness.
I think I'll stick to the 100bb tables for now and mix in a few of the 100-250 ante tables at some point. I think that has interesting possibilities.

Haven't been able to play since the changes but a quick HEM table scan this morning looks like the fish prefer sitting with the shorties on 20-50 tables and running up a stack.
It does, and it find that disturbing, interesting, and odd.
On Full Tilt when they made their changes the fish didn't flock to the low buy in option.
Why is Stars different?
I can see basically three options.
1) They aren't and the changes just haven't all worked themselves out yet.
2) Rush poker.
3) The 50 blind max.
